What is the Double Tap?
The number one question I get asked is "what is it?" or "what does it do?".
Because this type of product didn't exist until now its a fair question.

The Double Tap training system is a Safe backstop panel that eliminates ricochets, they can be fired at point blank ranges in close confined environments without the fear of projectiles coming back at you.
They are designed to be setup however you want to replicate scenarios that you want to train for.
Paper targets can be fixed to the front with duct tape, plastic screws or small S hooks (whatever works for you) affix them to the front mesh and if using outside you can slip the replaceable mesh over the top to stop any movement from wind (this also helps to contain any debris from destroyed targets very effectively!).
what targets should I use and how do I mount them?

Paper targets give the best results, they allow the BB to penetrate fully. Thicker card may cause bounce back or even ricochets so I would advise only using paper as that's what they were designed for.
Mounting options are up to you, whatever works for you! I like to use duct tape and stick straight on the front mesh. You can use plastic screws pushed through the paper target in to the mesh, there is no right or wrong. If using indoors I recommend not doubling up with the replacement mesh, 1 layer works best. Adding another mesh layer over the target works well outside as it stops interference from the wind.
I've ripped a hole in the front mesh what do I do?

This will happen over time, that's why they come with replaceable mesh socks, simply slip the sock over for a fresh new mesh face, if you manage to damage that, flip it round for a second use. replacements are available if needed. To put this in to context, I have been using my own set for about 2 years regularly running drills with a variety of training weapons and I have not wrecked a single panel yet! The mesh is designed to deform (it moves out the way of the BB) after use, give the area a rub between your fingers and most holes stretch out, right back to normal!
Will they catch every single BB?

The panels are designed to be used with a single mesh layer, the additional mesh is a spare replacement if you manage to wear the original over time. Doubling up may cause the odd bounce off where the BB doesn’t penetrate fully, this is not a ricochet as all the energy will be taken out of the shot. For best results don’t double up on mesh it’s unnecessary indoors.

Will they stop every single shot?

Absolutely! this is what they were primarily designed for. The Double tap panels have been thoroughly tested to extreme power, way above and beyond legal limits. the guys at Defiant Events have been testing the early prototype for over a year with everything at their disposal, not a single failure to report.
A destruction test carried out by Adzzzy's Armoury failed to breech the ballistic back panel with a minigun! he fired 2000 rounds in the same spot from a couple of feet away! again, not a single penetration. We destruction tested the same panel even further to see exactly what point it would fail. 3000 Rounds from a minigun at 50rps in the exact same spot eventually caused failure. You are never going to destroy these panels in ordinary or extended use.
